The two top fundraising teams from this year’s event, who together raised 70% of all revenue, are determined to maintain their leadership role. The QVC team, who raised in excess of $16,000, has a strong hold on the leadership position and is gearing up for even greater success for the upcoming event. The SLC Clerk of the Court team claimed second place with a total of $7,853 raised.

2009 was the second year both leading teams were involved with the CASTLE STOMP event and they are again encouraging their teams and others to come together and support CASTLE in its fight against child abuse.

“The QVC team understands the urgent need for child abuse prevention in our communities and sees the STOMP event as a valuable fundraising opportunity. We urge our employees to get inspired to help stomp out child abuse in our communities!” QVC’s Alicia Scott, and CASTLE Board Member, is determined to keep the enthusiasm high for another great fundraising event for CASTLE.

As a CASTLE Board Member, she takes her involvement with STOMP seriously and so does her team. “If only we could manufacture their contagious enthusiasm and bottle it up for others to use towards putting together their own STOMP team,” Joanne observes.

This event could reach new heights next year. CASTLE is fortunate to have the dedication of these two teams and many others. Our challenge is to add ten new teams for 2010. As we face budget short falls, we will be asking the community to come out and walk and run with us to prevent the abuse of children. We hope you will join in our planning committee, become a sponsor or create a team. For further information please contact us at www.exchangecastle.org.
